Ugandans have been urged to always utilize government health facilities in a bid to improve service delivery and fight diseases.

The call was made on Monday by Ntungamo district secretary for health, Bibiana Kakinoni, while speaking at a monitoring meeting for the twin staff house at Kaina Health Center III.

Kakinoni revealed that locals have, on several occasions, failed to seek medical care and instead remained in their homes, yet the government has put in place facilities to enable them to get access to medical care.

Kakinoni revealed that it is very vital for the locals to do regular medical checkups since sickness does not issue warnings.

Speaking at the same meeting, the Ntungamo district internal security officer, who represented the resident district commissioner, called on the locals to work hard and ensure that they educate their children.

He revealed that education, coupled with proper upbringing, prepares children for bigger challenges in life.

Rolands Nahabwe, who represented the district health officer, revealed that the works at the facility are on course and hope that the works will be completed on time.

Grace Twinomugisha, the district secretary for finance, revealed that the district is committed to ensuring effective service delivery, urging the health workers to focus on treating the locals well and ensuring that they get solace.

The works at the facility were contracted by MUTWI Company Limited and are set for completion by the end of March 2024.
