Rwampara leaders launch works on the Nyabikungu-Kalangala Road

Rwampara District leadership, led by Jane Muhindo, RDC, has today launched the Mirama-Nyabikungu-Kalangala road.

During the launch, Acting District Engineer Abert Bahana informed members that the toad is 12 km long and worth 150 m, and one hundred twenty-six culverts will be installed on the road. 

Will Bataringaya, the Chief Administrative Officer, applauded the district council for allocating money for the road and also appreciated the engineers efforts towards the road. He informed members that one billion was allocated to the roads, and 150 million has so far been released, and they await the balance.

Jackson Tumuhairwe, the district vice chairperson, appreciated the district engineer and the roads inspector for the tremendous work on today’s road construction and also praised the Nyabikungu community for accepting the project in their area. 

The chief launcher, Molly Asiimwe,the area woman member of Parliament, emphasized teamwork between the technical team and political wing for effective service delivery. She also informed members that, as their elected members of Parliament,they are doing their best to deliver on what they promised.
