Rwapara District distributes furniture to 18 primary schools

Rwampara district, through the Education Department, has today distributed furniture to eighteen primary schools.

During the dispatch, Gerald Nkurikiyimanya, District Education Officer, informed members that eighteen schools benefited; six primary schools received an office table, bench, and office chair, and the other twelve schools received twin desks. He also enlightened them about the total cost, which was shillings 22,416,000, and that the source of funding was school maintenance for renovation. 

Rwampara district chief administrative officer Willy Bataringaya appreciated the district council for prioritizing schools that had the biggest enrollment yet had little furniture. He also applauded the education department for effectively selecting the schools to benefit. 

Jackson Tumuhairwe, Vice Chairperson, appreciated the Council for allocating the funds for the next budget. The council will continue to support the education department.
