Kabale woman Member of Parliament, Hon.Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira, has urged communities to awaken to the importance of diligent labor and strive to invest significantly in the education of their children.

Ndamira was speaking yesterday at the final send-off mass for the late Mamenero Denis in Karujanga Parish, Kabale District.

The ceremony, held at the Karujanga Catholic Church Centre within Rwanyana Parish, was attended by community members, religious leaders, and dignitaries, including the Kabale Diocese Vicar General, Rev. Fr. Msgr. John Vianney Sunday, who led the burial Mass.

In her speech, Hon. Atwakiire emphasized the critical role of hard work in securing the financial resources necessary for education. She called upon parents to embrace industriousness, underscoring its direct correlation with the ability to provide for their children’s educational needs.

The late Mamenero Denis, who passed away at the venerable age of 84, was laid to rest at his residence in Karujanga, Kibuga Subcounty, Kabale District. He leaves behind a legacy survived by eight daughters, sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Hon. Atwakiire’s message resonated deeply with those in attendance, serving as a rallying cry for the community to prioritize education and commit to diligent work to ensure a brighter future for generations to come. As the sun set on Karujanga, the echoes of her words lingered, igniting a newfound sense of purpose and determination amongst the gathered mourners.
