The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira, stressed the importance of households engaging in income-generating activities to foster stability and harmony within families.
This call came during her distribution of piglets to selected women groups from the villages of Kigongi in the Central Division of Kabale Municipality on Saturday. The piglets form part of a piggery project initiated by the legislator to combat poverty at the household level among her constituents.
Addressing the beneficiaries during the handover ceremony, Mr. William Tumuranye, Chairperson of Kigongi A, praised the Honorable Catherine Atwakiire for her unwavering commitment to supporting women by providing them with animals and imparting skills such as soap making, jelly production, and liquid soap preparation.
The Honorable Atwakiire Catheline Ndamira is currently on a familiarization tour across Kabale District, raising awareness about income-generating projects and their significance in uplifting communities.
