Counsel Katabazi tips Christians on hard work

By Sophan Niwamanya

Counsel Kiconco Katabaazi Patrick’s message yesterday was focused on urging Christians to work hard and reduce poverty within their households.

He highlighted that having financial resources enables children to attend school, access healthcare facilities, and provide shelter, among other essential needs.

By emphasizing the importance of overcoming poverty, Katabaazi aimed to strengthen efforts and curb poverty rates within families. This, in turn, contributes to the overall growth of the economy.

Katabaazi delivered his message as the guest of honor during the fundraising function to roof Buriime Hiika, under Kitanga Catholic Parish in Rukiga District. The event served as an opportunity to gather support and resources for the roofing project.

By addressing the issue of poverty, Katabaazi aimed to inspire individuals to take proactive steps toward improving their economic situation and ultimately contribute to the development of the community and the nation as a whole.

During the event, the Kitanga Catholic Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Marius Byamukama, preached about the importance of valuing one’s life on Earth and leaving a positive legacy behind. It’s a reminder for Christians to make the most of their time and strive to create joyful times and meaningful experiences.

Over 26 million shillings were collected in cash and pledges to roof the church.
