Traders and mechanics operating in the Mwanjari business center in Kabale southern division, Kabale municipality are protesting the poor of their area of operation.

The business center which hosts a bus park, taxi park, Garage, and several businesses is in a sorry state and lacks drainage leaving the whole place muddy with stagnant water.

The state of the business center has had a toll on the businesses in the area with customers staying away.

Alex Tugume a Tax driver says that the state of the Taxi park has pushed the passengers away and they opt to stay on the roadsides.

Samuel Kanyamukiiza the coordinator of Urban Rights Network says that traders are struggling to operate.

Kanyamukiiza adds that they have already notified the police in Kabale district that they are planning a demonstration to express their concerns to the municipal leaders who he faults for failing to listen to their grievances.

Our reporter saw a copy of the letter addressed to the District Police commander Kabale which was also officially received by the same office.

The letter indicates that the traders are planning to hold a series of demonstrations in three days to come so that the leaders can know their plight.
