The woman member of parliament for Rukiga District, Hon Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi, has contributed 22  iron sheets to help in rebuilding the house of Nyaburye Loy of Butare cell, Kyabungwa parish, Kamwezi sub-county, Rukiga District.

The house which belonged to the late Batungu John, the husband of Nyaburye Loy, was destroyed by the police from an unknown destination, which claimed that the land on which the house was built belonged to Madam Kabarungi Hope.

According to Madam Nyaburye Loy, she and her late husband had lived on the land for fifty years, but they were surprised to see Kabarungi Hope, the late sister Gaudansia Nyinamaruhe’s daughter, appear out of nowhere and claim the land.

She also told our reporter that the case was taken to local council courts in 2007 after the case was transferred to the High court in Kabale in 2008 and after Kabarungi Hope bribed the court to rule in her favor.

Her husband was arrested and taken to Ndorwa prison in March this year for the same issues and later died a few days after he was released from the prison due to the effects of the prison and his being old.

Nyaburye Loy thanked the Woman Mp for Rukiga district for providing 22 shirts, which will help her build a house sheltering her family.

Hon.Nkamushaba Jacklyn, Councilor Representing Women in Muhanga Town Council in the District and the Secretary of Education, Health, and Community Service in Rukiga District, thanked Hon. Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi for her kindness toward helping the needy and all people in the district.

Tushabe Jacklin Shallon Niwenyesiga, the daughter of Nyaburye Loy and the late Batungu John, also thanked Hon Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi for assisting their remaining parent in getting where she needed to stay.
