Kabale University gets new District Council representative.

Verah Tumuheki Tuyizeri female councilor LC 5 representing Northern and central divisions has been voted to represent Kabale district council to the Kabale University Governing Council.

Tumuheki was today voted during the 6th council sitting that was chaired by the Kabale District speaker Mrs. Flavia Kanangizi at Kabale district Rukiiko Hall.

Mrs. Flavia Kanangizi declared Tumuheki after scoring 18 votes defeating March Boaz the district councilor representing Ryakarimira town council who scored 16 votes thus Tumuheki declared the winner.

Flavia later urged the district council to work as a team for the development of Kabale district.

Speaking to our reporter after elections Tumuheki assured that she will work together with council members to represent their issues to the Kabale University Council sitting.

She promised to work with everyone even though to those she has defeated without segregating and discrimination. She further commended the councilors for entrusting her with votes.

Tumuheki replaces former Kabale district chairperson late Patrick Besigye Keihwa.
