The territorial police of Kanungu are investigating circumstances under which a 25 years old man was assaulted and died instantly.
The deceased is one Brian Muhereza Alias resident of Rweibare cell Kashojwa parish Rugyeyo s/county,who allegedly fought with the suspect one Wilson Biryahwaho 42 yrs of Kabahesi cell Kashojwa parish Rugyeyo s/county sub county in Kanungu district.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesperson says that the two are said to have fought on the 23/08/2022 at around 23:00hrs in a bar at Omukalere trading centre for unknown reason, though word has it that they could have fought over a bar maid yet to be identified and died as he hit himself on the edge of the wall as he tried to run away.
Maate adds that the body has been to Kataate Health Center 1V for postmortem and efforts to trace for the suspect are under way.
