Aspiring Ndorwa West MP advocates for a mindset shift and increased security awareness during the Christmas service.

In a spirited Christmas service address at Kyasano Catholic Church, Dr. Hilary Bakamwesiga Mbona, an aspiring member of parliament for Ndorwa West, called upon Christians to embrace a mindset change and focus on investments that can uplift their families and communities in the coming year.

Dr. Mbona highlighted the importance of hard work and urged the congregation to explore profitable avenues such as education and agriculture. Addressing the need for change, he encouraged individuals to evaluate their current endeavors and shift towards more lucrative fields.

“Investments can take various forms, be it in educating our children, engaging in agriculture, or exploring new avenues for growth. It’s crucial to adapt and evolve for the betterment of our families and communities,” remarked Dr. Mbona during the service.

In addition to economic matters, the aspiring MP emphasized the significance of security, especially during the festive season. Dr. Mbona cautioned the public against hosting unknown individuals, citing the ongoing threat of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in Uganda. He stressed the seriousness of the situation, noting the ADF’s involvement in violent acts and killings.

“As we celebrate this festive season, let’s be vigilant and security-conscious. Avoid hosting strangers, as the ADF remains a threat to Uganda, causing serious harm to innocent lives,” Dr. Mbona advised.

Furthermore, Dr. Hilary drew attention to a public health concern, warning the community about a potential anthrax outbreak. He urged residents to purchase meat only from sources that have been thoroughly tested by responsible doctors, emphasizing the dangers of the disease to human health.

“Anthrax is a serious threat to our well-being. Ensure the meat you purchase is tested by responsible doctors to prevent the spread of this dangerous disease,” Dr. Mbona cautioned.

In a gesture of support to the local community, Dr. Hilary Bakamwesiga Mbona presented the choir of Kyasano Catholic Church with 25 pieces of uniform during the same Christmas service. This act of generosity aims to contribute to the vibrancy and unity of the church community.

The address by Dr. Mbona encapsulated a range of crucial issues, urging the public not only to focus on personal and economic growth but also to prioritize security and health during the festive season and beyond.
