The Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament, Honorable Catheline Atwakiire Ndamira, has encouraged parents to instill responsibility in their children by teaching domestic work during holidays.
Speaking at Christ the King Catholic Parish in Kabale Municipality on Sunday, Atwakiire emphasized the importance of raising responsible citizens.
Ndamira revealed that it is very important for the parents to always ensure that the children participate in activities at home, such as grazing animals, farming, and poultry, alongside studying, so that they are able to compete in the job market when they are out of school.
She added that having skills gives children a chance to earn and supplement what their parents can provide.
Atwakiire also advocated for unity among Christians in their homes as they celebrated the new year.
