Rubanda District, Uganda.

Ampeire Steven Kasyaba, the Rubanda District Local Council V (LCV) Chairperson, demonstrated his commitment to community development by presenting valuable gifts to two local churches during the festive season. On Christmas day, Kasyaba donated a high-quality speaker and a pair of microphones, collectively valued at 950,000 UGX, to Bukombe church of Uganda in Kakore parish and Isingiro Church of Uganda in Hamuko Cell, Igomanda Parish. Both churches are affiliated with Hamurwa Parish in Rubanda District.

In his heartfelt Christmas day address, Kasyaba urged Christians to embrace innovative farming techniques as a means to improve both the quality and quantity of harvests. He highlighted the potential of such methods to contribute to poverty alleviation in the Kigezi subregion. The LCV Chairperson emphasized the importance of sustainable agricultural practices to create a lasting impact on the local economy and enhance food security.

Expressing deep concern about the rising crime rate and the decline in domestic animal rearing within the district, Kasyaba called upon religious leaders to persist in spreading the word of God. He expressed hope that such efforts would inspire wrongdoers to repentance, fostering a sense of morality and community cohesion.

In addition to the generous gift of audio equipment, Kasyaba pledged ongoing support to the churches and further contributed 200,000 UGX to help meet the Christmas Day target. This financial support underscores his commitment to fostering a thriving and secure community in Rubanda District.

The churches expressed gratitude for Kasyaba’s thoughtful contributions, recognizing the importance of his initiatives in enhancing both the spiritual and material well-being of their congregations. The community looks forward to continued collaboration with the LCV Chairperson to address various challenges and promote sustainable development in the region.
