Minister Henry Musasizi  Underscores Government Commitment to enhancing  Economic Growth

Henry Musasizi, the State Minister for Finance and General Duties and also the Member of Parliament for Rubanda East constituency, has underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing the country’s economy.

Addressing attendees at the induction ceremony of Bubaare Archdeacon, Ven. Oscar Mwesigwa, held at St James Bubaare COU Archdeaconry on Sunday and presided over by Rt. Rev. Gad Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Minister Musasizi conveyed that the primary focus of the government is to stimulate economic growth, ensuring that every Ugandan has the means to both consume and contribute to the market.

Musasizi emphasized the necessity for Christians to step out of their comfort zones and strive to increase their household incomes. He highlighted the correlation between financial stability and the ability to provide essential resources, including education, for their children.

Furthermore, Minister Musasizi stressed the pivotal role of stable leadership in fostering transformation and creating an environment conducive to economic progress and development.

During the same event, Minister Musasizi urged all National Resistance Movement (NRM) members to actively participate in the upcoming update of the yellow book scheduled for March 13th to 17th, in preparation for the NRM primaries election in 2025.

Bishop Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, presiding over the function, encouraged Christians to work diligently and spend wisely to foster family development. He emphasized the importance of unity among Christians to promote a peaceful environment and enhance societal values and norms.

Bishop Akanjuna advised the newly appointed Archdeacon to embody qualities such as humility, trustworthiness, and faithfulness in leading Christians towards prosperity, urging them to be devoted followers of Christ.

The ceremony was graced by various dignitaries, including Rubanda District Woman Member of Parliament Prossy Akampuirira Begumisa, Rubanda District Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba, Deputy RDC Sheema Sam Evidence, GEP President Evelyn Ninsiima Kikafunda, and Jacqueline Katabaazi, among others.

A total of Shillings 44 million, along with 300 timbers and 100 bags of cement, were collected during the event to contribute to the expansion of St. James Bubare Church of Uganda Archdeaconry.
