Mbarara City FC trims squad after relegation from top-flight football league

Mbarara based Mbarara city football club has trimmed its squad barely days after they were relegated from Uganda’s top-flight football league.

A press release by the club management dated 26th of May 2022 indicates that the management of the team has decided to trim the team in a bid to rebuild and reorganize the team and decided to do away with some of the players.

The retained players include Thomas Kakaire,Solomon Okwalinga,Jude Ssemugabi.Ivan Otude ,Jasper Aheebwa,Steven Othieno,Ronald Edwok,Seiri Arigumaho,Karim Ramathan and SadatNsubuga.

The management further revealed that they regret that they had to make the decisions and they will make efforts to approach players out of contract for a possible stay at the club at an appropriate time.

Players with running contracts were also advised to negotiate with the club on their way out or have loan agreements.
