An unidentified make adult has been lynched by a mob after he was suspected to be a motorcycle thief.
The deceased met his death at Kamusiza boda-boda stage in Kashambya sub county of Rukiga district after he was seen putting an ignition key to one of the motorcycles parked there.
The deceased later took off with the motorcycle and was apprehended at Kitanga heading towards Muhanga town council where he was lynched by a group of cyclists.
The incident took place at around 11:00am today.
Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate says that police were notified and visited the scene of crime and efforts to have the deceased identified are underway.
The body has been taken to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
